SOSINK Region of Tri-State Urban Security Initiative Selects netEOP for Emergency Management Planning Software

RAYTOWN, MO (July 31, 2008) -- Raytown, MO based netEOP, Inc. today announced that their web-based Emergency Management System, netEOP has been purchased by the SOSINK (Southern Ohio, Southern Indiana, Northern Kentucky) region of the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI). netEOP and the accompanying software netPlanner are gaining widespread acceptance throughout the U.S. among emergency management departments and managers.

The Tri-State Urban Area Security Initiative region of Southwest Ohio, Southeast Indiana and Northern Kentucky (SOSINK) includes the city of Cincinnati and the counties of Hamilton, Butler, Warren Clermont, Clinton, Brown and Adams in Ohio; Boone, Kenton and Campbell in Kentucky; and Dearborn in Indiana.

“Emergency management professionals throughout the region recognize the importance of tools like netEOP and netPlanner,” said Tanya Allen, president of netEOP, Inc. “We are proud of our contribution to emergency preparedness and extremely pleased with the acceptance of our suite of products.”

netEOP is a web-enabled application that stores emergency operations plans, combined with planning guidance that is compliant with federal, state and local standards. netPlanner, an all-hazards capability-based planning tool, allows multiple users to participate and engage in active collaboration during the planning process. Prior to the introduction of netEOP and netPlanner, emergency preparedness documentation and planning was limited by access and paper.

Earlier this year, netPlanner was purchased by the Indianapolis Department of Emergency Management. In 2006, over 100 local communities throughout Kansas were introduced to netEOP and were immediately able to access up-to-date emergency operations plans that were aligned with the National Response Framework (NRF) and the National Incident Management System (NIMS).

In October of 2007, the State of Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) purchased netEOP, giving all parishes access to the state emergency operations plan online, as well as the ability to collaborate on their planning efforts.

netPlanner has also made its way onto college campuses, now used as part of the emergency planning courses at Arizona State University and under consideration for use in a number of other university programs.
